[ Research ] [ Papering/Plastering ] [ Frieze ] [ Illustrations ] [ Painting ] [ Results ] [ Conclusions ]
After papering the wall and placing calico over the windows, we looked into
possible pictures and hieroglyphics that could successfully represent Senneferis
tomb walls. Because our corresponding wall in TT99 was so badly damaged we were forced to
find similar and appropriate scenes that would have fitted into and been used in that time
period. The scenes that we chose to use on wall 17 were ones of offerings, banquets, rites,
and the deceased with wife. In the left hand corner we placed an overhead of Osiris in a
shrine . In the centre we chose a hymn to Osiris and the tomb owner and wife adoring.
Underneath that we put people with provisions which runs right across the bottom. In the
right hand corner on the top we put male and female musicians and singers and beneath that
priests, offerings and butchering. Along the whole top we painted a kheker frieze.
